General information
The ZELLCHEMING Young Talents' Award was awarded for the first time on occasion of the 100th Annual General Meeting of the ZELLCHEMING association. It is granted to industry and science employees younger than 35 years (at award) for excellent academic, technological and economic achievements in the fields of pulp and paper production and processing as well as environment protection. The achievements are assessed according to the following criteria:
- academic quality
- novelty
- economic and ecological relevance
- interdisciplinarity
- raw material and energy saving
- product ideas
- plant and process enhancements
Endowment
The young talents' award is endowed with € 2,000.00, whereas max. 2 awardees will be admitted per year. The funding is provided by ZELLCHEMING. Additionally, an original modern art or jewelry item is awarded.
Selection of candidates
Written proposals with justification for candidates are discussed by members of technical committees. The chosen proposal is submitted by the chairman with certificates, justification and recommendation to the executive board until the end of September of the preceding year.
The honoree receives their award at the Annual General Meeting in connection with their lecture, which is highlighted in the conference program.
