I joined the association in 1983. It was a point of honor as confirmed paper engineer. In Munich, this was uncommon back then, however, there was no alternative, as the network was accessible by a membership only. ZELLCHEMING was a MUST, otherwise you could not take part and were cut off from information. ZELLCHEMING took very good care of us students, hence I wanted to return the favour and give something back.

I'm still a member because point 1) still applies and because I do care about the paper industry and its supply chain. From information platform, communication among members, participation of our exhibiting companies at the Annual General Meeting and ZELLCHEMING-Expo, to an efficient executive board and management, in which it is a pleasure to be involved - ZELLCHEMING is a good thing. Once ZELLCHEMING, always ZELLCHMING! All of the above, however, is always considered objectively and accompanied by a sound change.
